DTC DETECTION LOGIC
NOTE:
This diagnosis indicates the former, to detect open or short circuit malfunction.
| DTC No. | CONSULT screen terms (Trouble diagnosis content) | DTC detecting condition | Possible cause |
| P0462 | FUEL LEVL SEN/CIRC (Fuel level sensor ″A″ circuit low) | An excessively low voltage from the sensor is sent to ECM. |
|
| P0463 | FUEL LEVL SEN/CIRC (Fuel level sensor ″A″ circuit high) | An excessively high voltage from the sensor is sent to ECM. |
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.
TESTING CONDITION:
Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is between 11 V and 16 V at ignition switch ON.
>> GO TO 2.
2.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
Is 1st trip DTC detected? YES >> Proceed to EC-329, "Diagnosis Procedure".
NO >> INSPECTION END
Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK COMBINATION METER FUNCTION
Refer to MWI-17, "CONSULT Function (METER/M&A)".
Is the inspection result normal? YES >> Check intermittent incident. Refer to GI-39, "Intermittent Incident".
NO >> Proceed to MWI-58, "Component Function Check".
